A Completely New Innovative Design

FOCUS 2 contains the most comprehensive occupational and educational information
database available. FOCUS 2 has been fully certified in meeting the highest level
of standards established by the Association for Computer-Based Systems for Career
Information (ACSCI). The FOCUS 2 system conforms to the standards and criteria
established by the National Career Development Association and the U.S Department of Labor.

FOCUS was created in 1987 and is a by-product of the IBM Corporation's pioneering work in
the development of computer-based career and educational planning systems. The IBM design team
was composed of nationally prominent career development educators and theorists, with Dr.
Donald Super as chief architect. Other team members included Dr. Roger A. Myers, Dr. David
Tiedeman, Dr. David Campbell and Dr. Frank J. Minor of IBM.
